Artist Statement

Jesse Meriwether Nunan is a visual artist from Thetford, Vermont, currently pursuing her Bachelor of Fine Arts at Syracuse University. Her oil paintings draw inspiration from her travels and the quiet moments of daily life that leave a lasting impression. For Jesse, painting is a way to celebrate memory, capturing the feeling of a time or place and inviting others to connect with it in their own way. In addition to oil painting, she works in photography, drawing, welding, woodblock carving, and screen printing.
